Kitty Stryker has been working on defining and creating a consent culture for over a decade. Based in Berkeley, CA, she is especially interested in bringing conversations about consent, critical thinking, and sustainable activism into everyday life. Kitty is an anarchist street medic, a social justice arcane trickster and a devoted cat mom.
Kitty edited Ask: Building Consent Culture, published by Thorntree Press in 2017. She is also the author of Ask Yourself: The Consent Culture Workbook, released by Thornapple Press in 2023, Say More: Consent Conversations for Teens, released in 2024, and Love Rebels: How I Learned to Burn It Down Without Burning Out, released in 2025. She is currently working on her next book—a guide for young people that explores critical thinking, media literacy, authoritarianism and rebellion.
